NASA with Jaylen

We took Jaylen to NASA since he lives not too far from it.  First time I had been in years.  Justin loved it.  Not the cheapest place, but if you're into science then it's great.  Fun time with Jaylen as well.

The kids' play area.

Super strong

A game that involved teamwork

Inside a space craft

We decided to take the tour.  Once you start you can't stop.  We sat for a lecture on how mission control works.  The guy asked if anyone had a question.  Justin all of a sudden raises his hand.  I wish I remembered what he asked because everyone, including the tour guide, was impressed by the question.    It had something to do with if there was a God then how could....can't remember!  It brought on a slew of evolution/creation questions that made my heart hurt for those that can't wrap their mind around a divine Creator!

We saw three deer while on the tram

These boys ran around this place for a long time.  It was time to call it a day at this point.

We finished off the day with Jaylen's first experience of Pei Wei.  Won't say Chinese food will be his first request but a little rice never hurt anyone.  It is always sad for us to return Jaylen to his home, but we know the Lord's grace can abound in anyone's life.

Rain in the fall

September and into October.  Racing through time here.

Titus and Ainsley Brown had a birthday party.  We all enjoyed swimming in the Browns' pool.

And playing on the sport court with Peter, Alex, & Ethan

Crowding in for the cake

And then it finally happened.  It rained in Houston.  Goodbye drought!  JT doing a rain dance here.

Living Water demonstration day the day after their gala.  Seeing how a water well works.

A few weeks later - rain again.

Justin happily enjoying getting wet

We had our yard landscaped before putting it on the market.  The realtor didn't like the pumpkins because it might date the photos if it had a hard time selling.  We loved the fall pumpkins!

Riding our bikes in style

HC birthday, playmate, and puzzle

They celebrated Justin's past due birthday on the 2nd day of school.  He loved every minute of it.  He chose the outfit he received for his birthday from the Wilsons....brain washing is going on around here. And he loves to 'Hook 'Em" whenever he can.  Good for him.

Early on I told Justin he could invite three friends over.  He gave me twelve names.  We had bought a house and were putting our house on the market.  I wasn't up for twelve that month.  So Wes, Jake, & Luke came over for a fun time.

What we do best - everyone around here knows the "Train Song" and we love to jump off the bed to it.  This is a song my brothers and I would run around the house to when we were growing up...or when my mom would tell us to get out some energy.

Puzzles - it's an ongoing thing around this household.  Justin and his physical touch love language.

Soccer Fall '11

Justin played his first season of soccer last fall at the Y.  On a team with be sties Jake, Luke, & Chance.  On a team of 4-5 year olds.  To say we had a blast is an understatement.  Justin would run at such full force at the ball that when an opposer would come battle for the ball Justin would at times go flying in the air from the speed.

The first practice.  Not everyone can be goalie at once.

Champions.  The first game they didn't have a clue what to do - first season for all these fellas.  They lost by a lot.  It never happened again.  Determined little guys.  Jake's nickname dubbed by Justin was the Rocket.  That boy is fast.

Our snack day we brought the old school cooler.  Like when we played soccer.

Lots of hugs after goals scored.  My uncle Steve said he'd never seen such affection from boys.  This is a huggie group.  And Luke Pine always kept score in his head.  He always knew the score at the end of the game.  Even though this age group didn't keep score - everyone was a winner.  Cough cough.  Don't even get me started.

We also brought, per Derek's request, orange slices for our snack.  The adults hammered them as they reminisced about eating the same thing decades ago.

Justin rocked as a goalie.  Here he is cheering from the other end of the field as his team scored.  He such a fan.

Going in for his own goal.

The first game we played the other team did the team tunnel while our kids looked on.  So justin asked when team Philadelphia was going to do the same thing.  You better believe we did it the rest of the season.

We had some faithful visitors.  Grandma & Grandpa sporting their yellow.

Steve & Kerry with Ginger who was passing through for the weekend.  She flew a long way to watch that game.

Hot visitors - Birdie, Shane, Papa, & Aaron

With Elise & Daniel

I was still in my shower attire.  It was my cousin Hilary's wedding weekend and we had just dashed over from the bridal brunch I had helped host.

Ryan came along for this trip

Champions!  AKA trophies for all.

First Day of Pre-K

We missed the meet the teacher day due to the Chicago trip.  But no need to fear - the head of the school, a Pre-K boy, is here.

Hey world, here we come.

Our beloved Mrs. Wagner.  We have been patiently waiting for this woman to teach my son.
And now that the year is almost over, the blog life of the Pre-K world has just begun.  Most appropriate.
