Halloween '11

Halloween.  Snuck up on me but we had almost everything on hand.  Justin wanted to be a Cubbie.  Easy peasy for this crew.  It was a cooler morning for the school parade.

And was pleasantly mild for the evening.

These photos make me smile.  Last time to take photos in this yard, and last year of only having one child in the Michaelis Halloween photo!

Last year to trick or treat with our favorite neighbors, the Wilsons, and our beloved Lukie.

And future classmate Lily with sister Grace

Justin and buddy Ellery, I mean Dorothy.

We modified our route again due to the crazy decor on our old street.  We all three had on Cubs gear as we stomped through the old neighborhood.  Looking forward to the new digs and new neighbors this year and all that the Lord has in store.

I put this post together 2 months ago and never sent it.  Need to get to catching up.  Life has changed around here dramatically.  More on that later...

The rest of October.  Or what was recorded via my phone or camera.

Leslie got a pinata and on one of our Friday lunch dates after school a lot of the pre-K class came to hit it out.

My nephew Daniel visited us for Hilary's wedding

Justin, Shane, & I drove to Waco for the day for an award my dad was receiving.  Frank Fallon Sportsman of the Year Award.  It was a big deal and he didn't even know he was receiving the award.

My dad was retiring in January and this was his last Chamber/Baylor luncheon to be in charge of.  He kept telling us not to come as it wasn't a big deal.

His speech was sweet as he gave the Lord the glory for all he had been able to be a part of.  Shane sat on the floor with Aaron and took these photos while Elise, my mom, and I sat with Daniel and Justin in the stands.

The speaker for the luncheon was Marion Jones.  Now that the Olympics are once again upon us I always remember watching her run.

Shane with his best friends

Dad & Marion raced after the event.

Helped host a shower for Ashley Ashy's newest baby, Gracie.

October was great.  Halloween up next, then pressing onward.  I have things in my head to type but that's for another day.  House full of kids now...
