Waco Zoo

During the hurricane, Tracy and I took all 4 kids to the zoo in Waco. I learned about reciprocity at zoos that day, and we got in free with our Houston membership. Never knew I could do this, and used this knowledge while we were in Tyler as well. A random cool front had come through Waco, so my mom had made us go by long sleeves for the kids. All we had packed were clothes for the 90 degree weather that we were used to in Houston. We never quite pulled out our swimsuits that visit.

Justin looking at the animals.

Justin & Barret looking around. I bought them matching shirts, and everyone thought they were brothers.

Me & the boys

Ran into Kristy Boyd there - I was her discipleship leader for 6 years. She is also married with a little boy - makes me feel old!
Tracy & I
Also ran into some old family friends - Lindsey & Mandy Smith (can't remember their married names). They had a brother that was my age, and the girls were both my brothers' age. They would go to the beachhouse with our family growing up, etc. They both have kids now as well. Small world when you go to Waco - always running into everyone!

Loved the Waco Zoo - hadn't been in years and was thoroughly impressed.

Wow, wish I had put on some make up and maybe washed my hair that day! Oh well, it was so good to see you!
