Last Playdate with the Junods

I was able to host a playdate right before the Junods went back to Qatar. It happened to fall on a Thursday while Justin was at MDO, which was nice to host without a child running around me. It was pleasant since most of the oldest kids were at school that day - we actually got some face time with the middle children, who are used to living in older sibling's shadows.

Emily, Jenn, Jenise, Wendi, Tracy, me, Kim, & Katie posing in front of my new tripod and new flash. Glad to have both of them to take this photo!

I took Brooks with me to go pick up Justin from school. JT was so thrilled to have his buddy meet him at MDO. The two boys decided to jump in the crib with Barrett who had decided to take a nap in Justin's room. Lots of laughter during the jumping and romping around in a crib that is over 30 years old. Yes, this is Derek's old crib that Kaki and I painted red. Still holding up after all it's been through.

We drove Wendi and the boys back to the in-laws for her to start packing for the flight home the next day. Here's our goodbye photo as we were leaving.

So sad that they are gone. I know the Lord is taking care of them in their new surroundings. At least their economy isn't crashing like ours it!
