Books, Undies, and Flags, Oh My!

Letting you get a sneak peak into the little personality of Justin. One morning I was stirring in my sleep as I realized that my early bird riser had been up awhile in his room but had not cried out. When I finally decided that it was too suspiciously quiet, I walked in to find every book from his bookshelves on the floor.

He was so proud of himself, and had even pulled the beanbag up close to have a bonified "reading center" in the corner of his room.

I bought Spiderman and Cars underwear to spur this little boy into subtle submission into potty training. now I am in no rush, even though we have progressed to pull-ups (with Cars on them - brilliant marketing tool) and only wear diapers at night. He goes potty about 4 times a day and we don't push him if he doesn't want to. In limbo, you could say. So we were trying out the undies when we were around the house for a few hours. This little bottom was helping me with laundry and I couldn't help but take a photo. After several accidents when mommy was on the phone and was literally about to take him to go potty, we retired the undies for a bit.

The day before we left for Galveston for the 4th of July, I found a Martina McBride version of God Bless America and Justin and I danced around with flags.

A month ago I cleaned out this jar that had candy as decor from VALENTINE'S DAY! Get some organization, Michaelis family. So we put them in this vase and put the flags in for decor for the 4th. I love this photo because Justin is trying his hardest not to smile, to no avail. Such a boy.

Hope everyone had a happy 4th! At the rate I've been going these days, you might see those photos by Labor Day....
