A visit from Dave

The same weekend as the Heitzmann birthday party, our longtime buddy Dave came in for a visit. Dave was on the Dodgers minor league teams with Derek for 4 years. Jaralin, his wife, and I were best buds. Derek was a groomsmen in their wedding (in Vancouver), etc. We obviously hadn't seem him in awhile, and he was in Texas for firefighter training school in Ft. Worth. So he came in for the weekend to hang with us.

We decided to pose with a baseball bat - fitting, right? Dave & Jaralin are strong believers, which was a rarity in baseball life. I think that made us that much closer. Jaralin has an incredible voice and just released her own self-titled album. She's been working on this thing for years.

My mother would say, "This is why you never wear gray - it washes you out!" Maybe I shouldn't pose as a baseball slugger either.
