Waco buddies

While we were in Waco for Starburst, we got to have some quick time with some of my longtime buddies. First stop, the Baylor SLC. This was not around for my two years at BU, but man it would have been nice! Maybe those freshman 15 would have found themselves on another unsuspecting 18 year old female.

Super excited to have a photo with a fake bear

But I like this angle a lot better.

We met up with the Kennedy crew who happened to have their Stewart cousins along for the ride. Here are the kids hot-tubing it.

The Kennedys were sweet to ask us to be their guests. I had never been in this cool pool, much less the toilet bowl. Justin would lay on his back and swirl around for minutes on end while we all chanted his name. Even the big boys were amazed at the floating ability.

Once Justin discovered the kickboard, he never looked back. He couldn't touch in the majority of the pool and did NOT want any help from me. So I just had an eye on Mr. Independent as he swam all over the pool. Which just allowed me time to catch up with Ann!

The day we were leaving Waco for Dallas for a quick family vacay we stopped by Lauren's house for a lunch with the ladies. Annie Fannie - we missed you! As you can see it was VBS that week at 1st Woodway, so everyone was pretty beat around lunchtime each day.
Katy, Caryn, Shannon M, Shannon B, Lauren, & Kathi

And here were the kids represented at this lunch date. Thank goodness the Michaelis' household didn't bust the seams with our one child to add to the masses of kiddos! :-) Thanks to the gobs of Skittles bags I had from the Starburst tourney, we managed to get the kids to all look up at the same time. And then we rewarded with, well, Skittles. Thanks to Caryn for sending me the photos - if you can believe that I didn't take a single photo of the event, thanks to all the upgraded cameras that were in my midst. It's nice to take a break every so often!

Such a great trip, jam packed with so many wonderful people that have continued to bless our lives.
