Caryn's baby shower

The Saturday before Halloween I drove into Waco for a quick trip to help celebrate twin boys that were born Thursday!

My sweet friends just let me show up empty handed.  They all had this big spread ready when I showed up.  Thanks for letting us come to your house, Katy!

Katy outdid herself with the "laidback" shower decorations we had.  Everyone had a pumpkin at their place setting but Caryn had two pumpkins at her seat.

I love the flowers in the pumpkin centerpiece.

Katy decorated with leaves from her backyard.  Way to use what the Lord already provided, KT!

Sweet Caryn and her basketball tummy.

The one girl missing from the group was currently in Doha.  So thanks to modern technology we were able to Skype with Wendi for over an hour.

The group with our screen friend for the day.  Wendi, it was not the same without you, but such a treat to have you join in.  She got to watch Caryn open gifts as we would turn the computer screen to whatever was going on at the time.

My favorite group gift - my breast friend.  Yes, that's what it is called for an oversize boppy for twins.  Caryn got to practice with AnnMarie's dolls.

And Ann found an alternative usage as a waitress.

My parents stopped by for a few minutes before I headed back home.  It was such a treat to have this time with my best buddies.  But it's never enough - there was so much I still wanted to ask everyone.

Nothing like a sappy group photo to end the day.

I hope to go see these precious babies this week in Dallas.  So thankful for this group of ladies and their impact in my life.  So thankful for the Lord's blessing of more miracles of children for the Smiths!
