Camo and such

Camo.

Justin would wear it everyday if I let him.  What is it about a boy and camo?

Especially when it doesn't match.  Which I know is the point, but sometimes it makes me twitch a little bit.

Back in April Derek took a photo of the entire camo look that Justin had dressed himself in.  We don't have camo socks, but we do own camo undies!  Which you better believe my son is wearing right now.

Fast forward a month.  Same outfit.  Different day.  Face paint is the new accessory.

Not that big of a fan of mommy's minimal efforts.

Enter in Justin's creation.

He didn't quite understand the concept of crouching forward in the grass.  Like in the army.

Hard to see him, isn't it?

Now you see him...

...now you don't.  Tricky tricky!

He even painted his ears.  Both of them.  Made for a fun time getting it off since this was right before naptime.

Another painting experience as mommy was getting ready in the morning.  He never really does this, so I just had to laugh.  Matches the attire.

Not quite sure what this is?

After a recent women's dinner from Sunday School where we talked about things to do this summer with your kids at home, we traced Justin's body.  Then he added some attributes and put real clothes on him vs. coloring them in.  And yes, this guy has underwear under his shorts.  Details, it what we do around here.

I asked Justin to make his bed one day and came in to find this.

A pattern sequence, as he said, in pertaining to his animal configuration.  It went one, then two behind the pillow, then three on top of the pillow, then four above the bed.  We have now retired all of the buddies to above the bed to watch their slumbering friend at night.

And we are trying to bring in the JT.  Help us attempt to do that.

A Friday night in April we had lots of buddies over for the evening.

It made me want five kids.  At least five that were already 4 years old.  And sweet Campbell kept wanting to be held and telling me, "Shannon..."  I loved carrying around a little lady who talked my ear off.
Luke and John stayed for the night after the Voorhees headed out.  Fun times had by all.

May Justin always be blessed with friends that love the Lord!

As a wife of a hunter and whose whole family hunts, camo should never match....David would be so proud!

I see so much Shane in that picture of him laying in the grass with his face painted! Has anyone ever said that about him? He is so much like his mommy with his smarty pants "sequencing" with his stuffed friends. So funny! (and so smart!)
