Justin turns 6

The boys went to Galveston for two days to do Schlitterbahn with Birdie and Papa for their birthday present from them.  They were going to do Schlitterbahn one day and then Splashtown the next.  Instead they decided to just stay in Galveston and redo their favorite rides.  The boys had an absolute blast.

Lexi and I had good girl time and went to the Children's Museum one day.

One the drive down Justin finished one of his sticker mosaics.

10 days after Levi's party we had Justin's party.  We had it the Thursday before public school started.  Unfortunately we forgot that half our list was private school and I, being new to the kinder scene, had no idea how early they all started!  So it was a smaller group, and truly I loved the intimacy (and less rough housing).

The boys got their gifts from both of us on the day of Justin's party.
The Chariot and the Skooch.  Love these things and always a favorite when friends come to play.

The car was about to head back to Waco so I gave it one last run.

We basically had the same party, with the water slide in our backyard.  Justin wanted a Lego theme and helped me make every decision.
Derek helped me do the Duplo blocks to spell his name.

All the kids had to guess how many Legos were in the bowl.  Of course I saw the number on the box.  It varied from 10, 55, 99, to 5031.

Watch out sister

Lots of water guns and teams arose

The fellas doing the water balloon launcher, which went really far
All the kids wanted to catch one after they realized the surprise attack

And then everyone wanted to help
The water balloon toss.
Awkwardly funny, especially since kids don't do things like this anymore.
And then their own water balloon fight

Chance won the Legos.  Justin still doesn't understand how someone walked away with that at his Lego party.
The Lego city pinata

Who fell apart at the neck pretty quickly.  We later beat him to pieces well after the party.  Kind of a bummer it fell apart so fast.

Justin wanted all of his figurines out, and of course all the kids played with them

I guess when I say Lego colors, the pink is included in a boy cake
Overwhelmed with emotion...or not..

6 years old, baby!

Tom was so great to fly in for both boys parties and leave that day.  Such a faithful grandfather.  Couldn't throw these parties without the set up and clean up crew that we call our families!  Happy Happy.
