Costume bikes and 1K races

The kids put on some superhero wear.  Lexi has on her super girl pajamas and the boys are sporting their Spiderman gear.  Tough guys...

A little bit friendlier
Had to roll these bottoms up

Love this one.

Kasey Mathew put on a fabulous race raising money and awareness for adoption.  Legacy 685, the adoption ministry at First Baptist, was hoping to aid 50 families in adoptions.  They expected 500 participants and the last I heard there were over 800!  The kids...LOVED IT!  All three ran the entire way during the 1K, Justin waited around to see if he won any awards (he didn't), and they want to do another race.  But only for orphans, they said.

The Sanchez's
Chick-fil-a cows were a huge hit!

At every turn there was a sign about statistics on the world of orphans.  It's sickening.  How wonderful that we know so many families that feel the obedience to loving these kids in their homes!  Kasey did a FABULOUS job on the race.
