Guests

We've had guests at our house this past weekend. Not the type you are probably thinking of. No, these guests have brought more entertainment for our little boy than, well, maybe I'll stop there on that thought. Back to my story. Shane & Kaki had a little mishap this weekend which meant that their dog and bird came to stay with us for a few days. Justin has had a ball with the extra animals in the house. He's always telling Putter to "Come 'ere!" Putter is equally excited to have another dog to play with and a little man throwing him scraps of food. Justin wants to hold Putter's leash when we walk both dogs. I keep trying to explain to him why the physics of that doesn't work well when a dog weighs almost as much as he does. So he'll hold Roxy's leash instead. Here's a pic or Putter:
Our other guest is none other than Gracie, the cockateel. Justin keeps running up to her cage to look at the "birdie". He doesn't understand why she cowers every time he comes near. Could be the fact that he likes to shake her cage, "gently". Gracie likes to chirp nonstop, about every 10 seconds or so. Derek was just telling me that the chirping was nice and didn't bother him at all. I tod him not to tell Shane that who would conveniently leave the bird at our house for awhile. Here is a picture of Justin telling her hi.

Roxy's new do

So Roxy gets groomed twice a year. Her hair grows back real fast and it's to help relieve her during the hottest parts of the summer. I took her to our favorite place, Gizzie's. My buddy Kacey told me about this place where they let the dogs run around all morning in the same room until it's their time to get the clippers. Roxy is probably pretty aloof since she thinks she's a person and not a dog. So I told them to do what they normally do. Long story short, Justin and I walk in to get her and almost don't recognize her. Justin is laughing at the goofy looking creature that stole Roxy's body. She barely has any hair. But she still thinks she's a princess. Here's a look at the squirrel, I mean dog.

Justin is just looking at her, not sure what to think.
I'm sure she feels a lot better with the 90 degree heat here in Houston!
