John & Megan's Wedding

I was a little nervous about what to wear to a wedding where I would be one of the youngest females (code for most of them could be my parents) and would not know how to hang with some of the people in this stage of their lives. But I got a strapless black dress from White House Black Market and it was easy to blend in.

Derek with his boss, the groom. John has been such a blessing in our lives. Literally took Derek under his wing as the Lord blessed us with one passionate job of baseball to Derek's new passionate job. I am thankful that my husband loves what he does, and a lot of it is because of this man.

It was fun for Derek to be in a tux - makes the night seem more special. Thankfully he bought one right around the time Ike hit, and he's already worn it enough to pay for the tux itself.

I've never had such unbelievable food at a reception. They kept coming out every hour with a new spread. They made a flaming strawberry ice cream dessert that I was first in line for. Of course. And I left my big flash in the room, so I had some bad exposure problems with these photos (which of course made me edit them). The wedding photographer probably got tired of seeing me all night. We were always in the same place, and I loved watching where he put his flash. I even got to ask him some questions. You would have thought I was a junior high girl at a concert. He had the BEST camera equipment. I felt kind of foolish with my Canon Rebel around my neck. Makes for a nice wishlist!
