Thursday Summer Fun

I made up a schedule of activities for anyone that wanted to join me each Thursday this summer. Here are a few photos from the events, plus some other fun times.

First up, my fave, Noah's Ark. I love it so much that not only was Justin's birthday party there last year but this year as well. Kim came with her 3 youngest kids.

Ashley with her boys - Ethan, Braden, & Jude.

I love this close-up of Ava.

Braden & Justin going down the slide.

Luke Pine joined in on the fun as well.

Caris & Nancy tried this place out as well. I think they even went back the next week!

Next up, the new park within Hermann Park and right outside the zoo. We met at the new train station at the zoo with the Tuleys and the Halls.

The new train stops, so we got off at the new park area. Justin and Aubrey running in the splash park.

Aubrey running to her mom.

Aubrey and Justin on the weird swings.

A view of one of the four playground areas. The place is so spread out, and come fall, we will be frequenting this area a lot more. Picnic tables to eat at, lots of shade, you name it.

Here we are waiting for the train to take us back. Notice Justin, the rule abider, telling John David not to move. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.

Lily, Aubrey, & Emery - always matching!

Next up - Monkey Bizness. Like Pump It Up on steroids.

Jump houses everywhere.

And balls, lots of balls, for the younger crew.

The older kids played some Ring Around the Rosie after lunch. And that's another point - it was great that you could take your own lunch and eat it in another room. Kudos to that.

The three of us went to the Bellaire Pool one hot Saturday.

Reminded me of Noah's Ark with a twist.

Justin loved going down the slide with his daddy.

And momma, with her lopsided hat, ate a New Orleans style snow cone.

It was a pricey admission fee, but it was a great time. Plus, Justin was free. And we brought own own food. So that cancels out some of the cost.

Justin had to spray some other customers.

My buddy Holly in my Sunday School class just moved from South Carolina. She lives in Longwood, which is really close to Stablewood Farms, where we lived with the Junods years ago. Derek and I used to walk in this neighborhood all the time. I've never been the pool there, and we had a blast.

Jude played in the splash pad area.

As did Lorlin.

There was a kiddie pool, a big pool, a fountain area with a shallow pool spot, and a splash pad. Great place for kids! Kennedy, Braden, & Ethan while we all ate lunch.

Lots of fun things to do while we beat the heat this summer in Houston. If you're looking for things to do this summer, go check out some of these places!

I love all of those places! They look so fun! How great that you have easy access to all. Maybe next summer we'll trek down there to try them out with you! :)
