Removal of the training wheels

When Daddy returned from Chicago Justin told him that he was ready to ride his bike without training wheels.  So we got right on that and took those braces off that bike to make it free.

And the fellas started off down the street, in anticipation of a great new world of two-wheeled fun.

Justin was starting to like the way everything felt.

I was starting to remember my first time without training wheels.  I was 5 or 6 (can't remember), in the Lake Air Mall parking lot in the back by the library entrance.  I was rounding a curve while yelling at my parents that if I fell it was their fault for making me do this.  Yes, I was that child.  Blameshifter.

And right about that time my child fell on the ground.  He picked himself up and was fine.

And then he told us he wanted his training wheels back on.

So that's what we did.

Until next time when we are more developmentally ready for this!
