Birthday Dinner

So I wasn't planning on doing anything for the ole birthday this year. We celebrated plenty for my 30th last year and really, 31 isn't all that spectacular. But nonetheless, my buddy Leslie organized a group pf girls to go to dinner. After telling her that I wanted a Collina's feel, just not at Collina's, we ended up at, you guessed it, Collina's. Great food with great food was just the kind of night I needed. I have to admit that it was weird to drive up to dinner and realize it was for me. I guess I've planned so many get togethers lately for birthdays, babies, etc. that it's rare that the evening was about ole Shani.

I took VERY FEW photos, thanks to Leslie relieving me of my usual assumed responsibilities. That alone was the best gift ever.

Pretty fuzzy photo, but this is my gym group. Although somehow we have all fallen off the bandwagon this past month. Must get back on track before summer and the dreaded bathing suit season approaches!

Heather knows my love for cookie cakes, but never have I eaten one with pink icing. And one with a tiara on it, no less. I loved every bite!

And sweet Emily brought cupcakes from RJ Goodies. Yummo!

These sweet ladies drove a distance to come dinner. So thankful they could make it!

What, me in a photo?

So the guy we get to take this photo says he's really good with photos. Well, should have told us that the back row was half hidden. Beggars can't be choosers. Heather, Jenn, Tracy, Sophie, Emily, Kim, Katie, me, Erin, & Alyson.

I am so thankful to all these girls and the blessing of their friendships! It is always a treat to have a night out with your buddies, especially without our children to interrupt us. Thanks for making this year's birthday a wonderful memory!

I was there in spirit! Jenise too! Great group...makes me miss you and those sweet friends. I went to a birthday dinner here tonight for my neighbor. It was nice to get out but made me really miss my friends at home. Seriously kept thinking of how special we make each other feel on our birthdays. Its a blessing! Love you and miss you!
